Image Resizer

Resize JPG, PNG, and WebP images by pixel width and height in your browser—or apply social aspect presets (16:9, 9:16, 1:1, 4:5) with live cover-crop previews for YouTube, Shorts, Reels, and feed posts. Lock aspect ratio or set exact dimensions, then download locally.

What are the social aspect presets?

Presets fill exact pixel targets for common creator frames: 16:9 landscape (YouTube-style, 1280 long edge), 9:16 vertical (Shorts / Reels / TikTok, 1080 long edge), 1:1 square feed (1080), and 4:5 portrait feed (1080). Applying a preset turns off aspect lock so Resize exports those exact dimensions. The cover-crop preview strip shows how the same photo would look framed in each ratio before you export.

Can I lock aspect ratio?

Yes. When aspect ratio lock is enabled, changing width automatically updates height (or vice versa) so photos are not stretched or squashed. Social presets intentionally disable lock so you get exact platform pixel sizes.

Which formats can I resize?

JPEG, PNG, and WebP inputs are supported. Output is re-encoded for download; use Image Format Converter afterward if you need a different file type.

What width and height limits apply?

Target dimensions accept values from 1 to 8,000 pixels per side. Very large targets on small source images upscale via interpolation and may look soft.

What happens if I enlarge a small image?

Upscaling interpolates pixels and may look blurry. Prefer starting from the largest master file available rather than enlarging a thumbnail.

Are images uploaded?

No. Resizing uses canvas in your browser. Files up to 15 MB are processed locally and never sent to a server.

Can I preview before downloading?

Yes. After resize, the tool shows output dimensions, file size, and an inline preview. Download when the result looks correct at full zoom.

Should I compress after resizing?

Often yes—smaller dimensions reduce file size, but re-encoding with Image Compressor can shave additional kilobytes for web and email limits.

What is the maximum file size?

Images up to 15 MB are supported. Larger files return a too-large error—compress or export a smaller master first with Image Compressor if needed.

Does resizing change DPI metadata?

This tool sets pixel width and height only—it does not write print DPI metadata into files. Set resolution in desktop publishing software when preparing print-ready assets.

Is this resizer free?

Yes. Free with no login required.
