Timezone Converter

Convert date and time between ~30 IANA timezones in your browser. Pick wall-clock time in the source zone, see UTC ISO plus target zone output—DST handled via Intl, free, no login.

How should I enter the date and time?

Use the datetime-local picker for year, month, day, hour, and minute. That value represents wall-clock time in the source (From) timezone—not your laptop's local zone unless they match. Choose From and To zones, then click Convert.

What does the result show?

Two lines: UTC as an ISO 8601 string (audit-friendly instant) and a human-readable datetime in the target zone with timezone abbreviation from Intl.DateTimeFormat.

Does it handle daylight saving time?

Yes. IANA zones include DST rules via the browser's Intl implementation, so spring and fall offset changes apply automatically for the selected calendar date.

Which timezones are available?

About 30 common business and travel zones including UTC, US (Eastern through Pacific), Canada, Brazil, Mexico, major European cities, Dubai, India, Southeast Asia, China, Japan, Korea, Australia, New Zealand, and Hawaii. Search the dropdown by city name.

What are the default From and To zones?

The form defaults to Asia/Shanghai as source and America/New_York as target—change both to match your meeting. Defaults are starting points only.

Is my data sent to a server?

No. Conversion uses Intl.DateTimeFormat entirely in your browser. Meeting times and travel plans stay private.

Can I paste an ISO UTC timestamp instead?

This UI expects datetime-local plus explicit From/To zones. For an existing UTC ISO string, set From to UTC and enter the equivalent wall time, or use your calendar app as source of truth for ISO values.

Is this timezone converter free?

Yes. Free with no login required.

How do I schedule across DST changes without missing the call?

Convert using the meeting date, not only “today,” because daylight saving shifts offsets. Include the IANA zone name in calendar invites (for example America/New_York). Send a one-line local time for each participant in the invite description.
