Square Footage Calculator

Free square footage calculator and area calculator: rectangle length×width, triangle base×height, or circle πr²—enter feet for sq ft estimates in your browser, no login.

How does this square footage calculator work?

Pick a shape and enter positive dimensions. Rectangle uses length×width, triangle uses ½×base×height, circle uses πr². Keep units consistent. Results update after you press Calculate so you can change one dimension and compare estimates without reloading the page.

How do I get square feet?

Enter length and width in feet (or convert with Unit Converter first). The numeric area is then square feet.

Is radius or diameter required for circles?

Radius. If you know diameter, divide by two before entering the field.

Can it handle irregular rooms?

Not as a single polygon. Split the floor plan into rectangles/triangles, calculate each, then add the areas manually.

Is my data uploaded?

No. Math runs in your browser. Inputs are not stored as uploaded file content for analytics.

Is this calculator free?

Yes. Free to use with no login required on Power Tools.

What are the tabs above the form?

Sibling geometry tools such as Volume Calculator. Labels are tool names; tapping opens that page.

Square Footage vs Unit Converter?

This page computes area. Unit Converter changes length units (for example cm to feet) before you calculate area here. Pair with Unit Converter when plans mix metric and imperial labels.
