Sentiment Analyzer

Analyze customer reviews and comments for positive, negative, or neutral tone using a browser-based lexicon—no AI API, no upload.

How does this sentiment analyzer work?

Each line of text is tokenized and matched against curated positive and negative word lists in English plus common Chinese sentiment characters and phrases. A simple score counts positive minus negative hits per line. Lines with more positive hits label Positive; more negative hits label Negative; otherwise Neutral. Overall sentiment averages line scores across your paste.

Is this the same as ChatGPT or Formula Bot AI sentiment?

No. Cloud AI tools infer tone from context, sarcasm, and domain language. This tool is deliberately lightweight: lexicon matching only, zero token cost, instant results, and full privacy. It excels at triaging hundreds of short reviews before you send a subset to human review or a paid AI model.

How accurate is lexicon-based sentiment analysis?

Accuracy depends on vocabulary coverage and context. Short product reviews with explicit words like "love" or "terrible" score well. Sarcasm, mixed sentiment, or industry jargon may misclassify. Use results as a first pass—sort negatives for support tickets, positives for testimonials—not as legal or compliance evidence.

Which languages are supported?

English tokens and a starter set of Chinese sentiment words are included. Other languages may default to Neutral unless obvious Latin tokens appear. For multilingual catalogs, analyze each language block separately or extend lists manually in your workflow after export.

Is my text uploaded?

No. Analysis runs entirely in your browser. Reviews and chat logs never leave your device through this tool.

Can I analyze many reviews at once?

Yes. Paste one review per line—up to the tool length limit. Results table paginates at 20 rows per page. Export by copying the table or filtering negatives manually for follow-up.

Is it free?

Yes. No login, no API keys, no usage caps.

How do I verify output from Sentiment Analyzer before sharing?

Open the result in a second app or tab, compare against a small known-good sample, and only then send it to clients or commit it to git. Proofread after transformation—encoders and stylizers can surprise on emoji, CJK, or punctuation. Keep a plain-text backup of the original copy. If something looks wrong, adjust one setting at a time and rerun rather than stacking multiple weak exports.

What device or size limits matter for Sentiment Analyzer?

Browser memory and CPU bound large jobs. Close unused tabs, try a smaller fixture first, then scale up. Desktop browsers are usually more reliable than phones for heavy media or WASM paths. After finishing, clear Downloads and the tool workspace when files contain personal or customer data.

When should I not rely only on Sentiment Analyzer?

Skip it as the sole system of record when you need multi-user collaboration, enterprise audit trails, or legally certified processing. Use your approved platform for those cases, and treat this page as a fast local assistant. Keep authoritative masters outside the browser session.
