Keyword Density Checker

Analyze keyword frequency and density in pasted text. Optional focus keywords, top-term ranking, and word counts for SEO drafts—all in your browser.

What is keyword density?

Density = (times a term appears ÷ total words) × 100. The tool lists top tokens or your focus keywords so you spot overuse or gaps versus your target phrase.

What does the focus keywords field do?

Enter comma- or line-separated target terms to track specific phrases. When empty, the tool ranks the top 20 non-stop-word tokens by frequency from your pasted text.

What density percentage should I target?

There is no magic number—write naturally first. If a primary keyword exceeds ~3% without reason, it may read as stuffing. Compare top terms to your intended focus keyword.

Are stop words included?

Common English stop words (the, and, is, etc.) and single-character tokens are filtered from automatic ranking. Focus keywords you enter are counted even if they are short.

Should I use this with Readability Checker?

Yes. Density ensures topic focus; readability ensures humans enjoy the prose. Balance both before publishing.

Is there a text length limit?

Pasted text up to 200,000 characters is supported. Empty input or text with no analyzable words returns a clear error instead of blank results.

Is my article uploaded?

No. Tokenization and counting run entirely in your browser.

Does this work for non-English text?

Tokenization targets Latin letters and numbers. Chinese or mixed-language drafts may not produce meaningful density tables—analyze each language separately for accurate SEO counts.

Can I track multi-word phrases?

Enter multi-word focus keywords separated by commas—the analyzer matches whole tokens you specify. Automatic top-term ranking counts single-word tokens, not full n-gram phrase extraction.

Is this checker free?

Yes. Free with no login required.
